Maryland – Integrated Tax System RFP

Mathtech managed the planning phase of the Modernized Integrated Tax System (MITS). During this phase of the project, Mathtech was responsible for setting up the project in accordance with the State's System Development Life Cycle methodology, researching alternative approaches to system implementation and developing the Request for Proposal that resulted in selection of an implementation vendor.

Services Provided
 

Specific activities being performed by Mathtech included:

  • Conducting workshops for the purpose of documenting current and future business processes
  • Developing and documenting comprehensive requirements for the new tax system
  • Conducting research with vendors and other states to determine the best approach to MITS implementation
  • Developing budget estimates for the implementation of the MITS system
  • Creating the Request for Proposal that was used to select a implementation vendor

Mathtech assisted in the vendor selection process via development of evaluation criteria for use by the Comptroller's Office.

Once the implementation vendor was selected, Mathtech provided project oversight including schedule reviews and assessments and deliverable reviews.
